About Mr. Ambrose

Welcome to Team 7-3 Math at Sunrise Middle School! I am so excited to get to know your child and work with them this year! We have a year full of fun and learning ahead! Here's a little about me...

 

I graduated from UNL in May 2016, with a degree in Elementary Education k-8. I student taught at Westridge Elementary in Elkhorn. I then became a 5th grade teacher at Westbay Elementary in Elkhorn. I moved to Hastings to be closer to my now wife who works in Kearney. I then taught 3 years of middle school math at Hasting St. Cecilia. Once my wife and I were married I knew we needed to be closer and live in Kearney. I switched to Axtell Community Schools for two years where I taught 5th grade and middle school Social Studies. When I saw the opening at Sunrise I knew I had to apply! I graduated with my Master's degree in December 2021 getting my degree Administration PK-8. I love my job and am grateful to be a Silver Hawk each and every day!

 

When I am not working on school you can usually find me on a field or court coaching. I currently work at the high school coaching the running backs with Coach Cool. Besides teaching and coaching, I really enjoy spending time with my wife either playing sand volleyball, or going for a run.
