We need your support for our students to travel for this monumental Opportunity! The Kearney 8th Grade band will be performing at the National Veterans Ceremony on November 11th, 2025, in Washington, DC.This ceremony will begin at the Lincoln Memorial, situated between the Korean War and Vietnam Veterans Memorial, followed by a solemn processional to the World War II Memorial. This historic commemoration serves as a living memorial to all the brave men and women who have served this great nation. Not every school receives an invitation to this ceremony, it comes from a database of referred directors and band programs.
The 8th-grade band includes students from both Horizon and Sunrise Middle Schools.
